Just a quick rundown of one trip to the village:
Hop in a vehicle (designed to hold 7 people) with a total of 16 people. Ride about 15 minutes to a bus stop. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes. Hop off and walk about 1/4 mile. Ask around about transportation. Too expensive. Stop a passing buffalo cart. Hop on. Ride about 10 minutes to a "tempo" stop (an open auto rickshaw/SUV style vehicle). Sit for almost an hour waiting for the vehicle to fill up. Should hold about 11 people not so comfortably, ended up holding 22! Ride into the village. Walk around for a bit. Then ride back out of town on another crowded tempo, walk some more, ride another crowded tempo, walk to the bus stop, ride to our neighborhood, hop on a cycle rickshaw, and finally arrive at home!
